Student Union

Sibelius Academy’s Student Union (SAY) is an organisation providing benefits, services, and fun for students. All students studying for bachelor’s or master’s degree at Sibelius Academy and registered as present are its members. Doctoral students also have the opportunity to join the student union.

The student union unites students and promotes their social, artistic, and political efforts, in addition to improving the students’ status in society. The student union is also a fun organisation and during the academic year, it organises several refreshing parties and excursions.

The SAY is a member of the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL), which is an umbrella organisation for all Finnish student unions. Via SYL, the SAY is trying to make an impact at the national level on the educational and social benefits and rights of students.
