How to apply?

If you are interested in studying at the Sibelius Academy as an exchange student, please contact the international relations coordinator at your home institution. The deadline for applications for the academic year 2012–2013 is  March 31, 2012.

NB! Student exchange applications for orchestral conducting are usually not handled, as there are no exchange study places available at the conducting class.

Application Requirements

The exchange application should include:

  1. Application form of the programme in question (please see the links below).
  2. Learning Agreement
  3. Curriculum Vitae and preferably also a Letter a Motivation
  4. Transcript of Records and/or a certificate of previous studies
  5. Audio recording, DVD recording (conducting students) or scores (composition students)

     

Practical information

The international exchange office has published a "Practical guide for international students". The guide is designed to help international students to plan their stay and studies at the Sibelius Academy.

Courses available for exchange students

Please see the list of courses offered in English language during academic year 2011–2012. In addition, the language of individual lessons, chamber music and ensemble lessons, orchestral periods etc. can be English in case there are international students attending.
