A student receives the BMus degree upon completion of 180 ects.
Master of Music, MMus
A student receives the MMus degree upon completion of 330 ects, or 150 ects beyond the Bachelor's degree.
Doctoral degrees
Licentiate of Music, LMus
The completion of the LMus degree requires 150 ects.
Doctor of Music, DMus
Doctor of Music is the highest degree granted by the Sibelius Academy. The completion of the DMus degree requires 240 ects, or 150 ects beyond the Licentiate degree.
