String instrumentalists who have completed their master's degree at the Sibelius Academy have the necessary skills for the demanding tasks of a soloist, orchestral, or a chamber musician as well as a music pedagogue, and, in addition, they are qualified for doctoral studies. In the Bachelor Degree Programme, students complete a Level B performance examination in a primary instrument, and in the Master Degree Programme, they complete a Level A in accordance with the level descriptions of each instrument.
