Development Centre
The ability to respond to cultural changes and to have an effect on culture is based on the constant renewal of the university itself. Therefore, innovation is supported in all task areas of the university and its resources are increased.
The development centres of the Sibelius Academy (the Innovation Centre, Academic Development Centre and Development Centre for Artistic Activity) have been reorganised as a single Development Centre as from 1 January 2008.
The mission of the Sibelius Academy’s Development Centre is to generate methods and operating models that promote the renewal of the university’s core activities as well as to carry out research and studies in support of this objective. The Development Centre funds and provides other forms of support for projects and events that open up new perspectives and opportunities for the university to implement artistic activities, research, education and their direct support services.
