Degrees and programmes

Bachelor- and master-level studies at Sibelius Academy are conducted by two faculties comprising of 13 departments that offer programmes in

• Classical instruments and voice
• Composition and music theory
• Conducting
• Church music
• Music technology
• Jazz
• Folk music
• Music education

The departments provide instruction at bachelor and master levels, as well as youth education and open university studies. For students, study guidance as well as individual study planning is available in the departments. Doctoral study is arranged jointly by the departments and the Sibelius Academy schools. In addition, the departments are involved in versatile artistic activity as well as multiple research and development projects.
