During Sibafest, Anne Tamminen's photo collage installation will spread on the glass surfaces of the Helsinki Music Centre. In the Lower Foyer of the Music Centre, we can hear Joonas Siren's sound installation, "Materian taajuudet" (frequencies of matter).
Joonas Siren: Materian taajuudet (frequencies of matter)
My sound installation explores the self-resonant frequencies of the different materials used at the Helsinki Music Centre and plays them in a haphazard order, thus forming a musical composition.
Anne Tamminen
I work with spaces, atmospheres, and impressions.I take momentary visions and give them a form.I work like a ready-made artist:I use phenomena we all know from everyday life (photos, light, space, and transparency) to build a visual world of my own.My works reflect a parallel reality, which could be discernible for everyone. My work in the Helsinki Music Centre explores the relationship between space and a work of art through an illusion that is shattered. The glass railings of an underground stairway become an aquarium, and apes are seen roaming on the ground-level surfaces. What happened, who and where are we now?
